Jeff Grant is the only lawyer in the United States who has the first-hand experience of incarceration for a white collar crime, whose law license was reinstated by the Supreme Court of the State of New York, who earned a Master of Divinity and practices spiritual counseling, who is clean and sober for over 22 years, and who co-founded a White Collar Support Group with over 440 meetings and over 1200 members.

GrantLaw, PLLC is a new type of law firm providing private general counsel services to clients facing, who have previously faced, or who could possibly be facing white collar prosecutions and regulatory proceedings. In this role, we assist in making critical and timely business and family decisions, and in executing on them, so that clients have the best chance to come out the other side of their justice issues with lives of purpose, meaning and success.

We practice in New York and on authorized Federal matters, and work with local co-counsel and criminal defense counsel to represent clients throughout the world.

To best ensure long-term results, we recommend, assemble, manage and collaborate with a wide breadth of professionals, including tax attorneys, bankruptcy lawyers, family lawyers, civil litigators, estate and trust lawyers, accountants, private investigators, fraud examiners, mitigation specialists, medical doctors and psychiatrists, forensic psychologists, drug and alcohol interventionists, prison consultants, white collar peer and support resources, and the like.

Notably, we regularly team with criminal defense lawyers to help achieve the client’s best possible charging, sentencing, restitution and forfeiture outcomes.

And, of course, we are also honored and grateful to represent our clients not going through these disruptive kinds of issues.

Prayers, blessings and לשלום to you and your loved ones for a happy and healthy holiday season. — Jeff

He described the program as a step toward an ‘ethics rehab’ and, on the support group’s website, explained that it was for people who wanted to ‘take responsibility for our actions and the wreckage we caused.’”..

‘“in blunter terms, he told me ‘it’s for people detoxing from power and influence…

Entrepreneur: 9 Things to Know When Hiring a White Collar Criminal Defense Lawyer, by Jeff Grant, Esq.

Hiring a white-collar defense lawyer is a monumental task — and one that most entrepreneurs and businesspeople, even those who are sophisticated legal consumers, are monumentally unprepared to do.

I should know.

I’m a lawyer who became addicted to prescription opioids and served almost 14 months in federal prison for a white-collar crime.

I was disbarred, and then step-by-step, lesson-by-lesson, I worked my way through the ordeal.

My law license was reinstated by the Supreme Court of the State of New York. In August 2024, I celebrated 22 years of continuous sobriety.

Here are some takeaways I learned from over three decades of experience on both sides of the legal system:
