Molly Parmer owns a boutique criminal law firm — Parmer Law — which provides high-stakes defense to select clientele, predominantly in federal court. She is an honors graduate
of Georgia Tech and former special education teacher. Molly graduated with honors from Emory Law, where she was named a Woodruff Scholar and received a full-tuition scholarship.
Following law school, Molly took a job as an assistant public defender in DeKalb County,Georgia, where she represented thousands of clients on charges ranging from reckless
driving to murder. Molly joined the Federal Defender Program in the Northern District of Georgia as a trial attorney in 2015. There, she defended those accused of drug trafficking, international money laundering, war crimes, violations of human rights, firearms violations, immigration offenses, and allegations of white collar crime, to name a few.
Molly opened her law firm in 2019 and has office locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. In 2023, she spent three months in a federal criminal tax fraud trial wherein the government alleged over $400 million in loss. Molly’s client was found not guilty of all
charges. In addition to extensive federal trial experience, Molly also handles federal appellate matters and has presented oral argument before the 10th and 11th Circuits.
Molly is a graduate of the Bill Daniels Trial Academy, the National College of Criminal Defense, and the White Collar Crime College. She is an adjunct professor at Emory Law, where she teaches Advanced Criminal Trial Advocacy, and has presented seminars on
criminal defense for Lawyers for Equal Justice, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She presently serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association. She formerly served on the boards of the
Georgia Innocence Project and the alumni board for Emory Law.
Molly is a sought-after television legal analyst and frequently provides commentary on CourtTV, FOX, ABC, NBC, and other national news networks.
